Job Location: Room for Milly, 1615 Platte St., Ste 145, Denver, CO 80202

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Maintain a strong sense of ownership of entire Culinary offerings provided by Room For Milly.

  • Execute Culinary offerings with a high level of precision and care.

  • Provide inspiration and creative influence to Culinary Team in keeping with Room For Milly Core Values.

  • Assist Culinary management in all special projects, kitchen operations and menu development.

  • Maintain patron satisfaction by executing, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; build relationships with preferred patrons; maintain good community relations.

  • Maintain Company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).

  • Maintain effective communication with Culinary management team, FOH management team, and all staff.   

  • Maintain sanitation standards and procedures that comply with health and legal regulations with the advice of the Company.

  • Assist in oversight of  kitchen staff programming (service and hospitality standards) to ensure all duties are met and exceeded.

  • Assist in maintenance of facility and provide opportunities for improvement.   

  • Work proactively with Event staff to execute all events to Room For Milly standards.

  • Communicate with Culinary Management nightly in “Post Op” about any opportunities to improve function and product of Kitchen

  • Assist in training of new team members.

  • Provide leadership to kitchen team in Executive Chef’s absence.

  • Maintain a reasonable schedule with flexible availability. 

 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  •  Strong knowledge of food products and handling

  • Be able to safely operate all kitchen equipment

  • Solid understanding of restaurant work

  • Willingness to learn and grow within property

  •  Able to multitask on various levels under very high stress levels

  • Strong understanding of personal hygiene and sanitation techniques as they pertain to restaurant work

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Formal culinary training preferred          

  • Servesafe or equivalent preferred

 

Compensation:

  • $18-21/Hour DOE
